United Nations Association of United States of America (UNA-USA)
UNA-USA is a grassroots advocacy organization with over 20,000 members and more than 200 chapters throughout the United States. UNA-USA and its members are dedicated to engaging in civic action to address issues such as global health, education, climate change, and gender equality. As an Emerging Leaders Fellow, I assisted organizational staff and local chapters coordinate virtual consultations for the states of Florida and Maryland with a total of over 100 participants. In this capacity, I spearheaded programing and tech capabilities for events that created conversation between civil society and public officials of Florida around issues like climate change, pandemics and inequalities. Data and responses from these consultations are compiled into a report that will be presented to the United Nations 75th General Assembly in September 2020.

Latino Educational Advancement Program (LEAP)

The Latino Educational Advancement Program (LEAP) is an academic success initiative offered by Hispanic-Latino Affairs. The program is designed to help first-year Latinx students acclimate to college, and provide them with the tools they will need for a successful academic career at UF. As a lead mentor, I provided my scholar with advice and guidance throughout the semester. I attended weekly trainings and workshops and presented to the cohort of more than 50 students on study abroad and various international involvement opportunities at UF.

Study Abroad Peer Advisors (SAPA)

The Study Abroad Peer Advisor (SAPA) organization is a group of students who have previously studied abroad and are now dedicated to sharing our experiences with other students. We assist students interested in learning more about UF's study abroad opportunities by matching them with students who have studied on similar programs/locations, or who share similar academic interests. Additionally SAPA service as an outreach arm of the UF Study Abroad Services by presenting about study abroad to various audiences and by helping out with outreach events.
Cuban American Student Association (CASA)
Vice President, June 2014-January 2017
The Cuban American Student Association is an on campus sub-organization of the Hispanic Student Association. We put on events to share the Cuban and Cuban-American culture and experiences with the UF and Gainesville community. As Vice President I often organized events and collaborated with other cultural organizations to represent the Latinx population at UF.
